Allantoin

Cetylpyridinium Chloride (CPC)

Benefit: Reduces plaque buildup and bacterial load.

Chlorhexidine Digluconate (CHX)

Benefit: Controls plaque and biofilm in periodontal pockets.

Clinical Insight: Gold-standard antimicrobial for periodontitis management.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA)

Benefit: Stimulates tissue repair and reduces inflammation.

Clinical Insight: Effective for gum recession, ulcers, and post-surgical recovery.

Hydroxyapatite Nanoparticles

Benefit: Repairs micro-lesions and reinforces enamel.

Clinical Insight: Mimics natural enamel to prevent decay, strengthen enamel and enhance brightness.

Perlite

Sodium Fluoride

Benefit: Provides enamel remineralization and cavity protection.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate

Benefit: Acts as a foaming agent, helping to spread toothpaste or oral rinse active ingredients around the teeth and gums enhancing the removal of debris and surface stains.

Clinical Insight: Effective in improving plaque removal due to its detergent properties. Can occasionally cause irritation to the soft tissues of the mouth, particularly in individuals prone to ulcers or sensitive oral tissues. For such patients, SLS-free alternatives may be recommended.

Sorbitol

Benefit: Acts as a sweetener, providing a pleasant taste without contributing to tooth decay (non-cariogenic).

Clinical Insight: Sorbitol is a sugar alcohol that does not promote the growth of cavity-causing bacteria like sucrose does, making it ideal for dental products.
