Daily Oral Care Regime for Aligner Patients

Keeping your aligners and mouth healthy and clean is just as important as wearing them!
Morning Routine
- Brush and Floss: Start the day by brushing your teeth with VITIS Orthodontic toothpaste and floss to remove the overnight build-up of plaque.
- Clean Your Aligners: Gently brush them with a soft toothbrush and rinse with lukewarm water. Avoid toothpaste, which can scratch the surface.
- Check Your Aligners: Inspect for cracks, warping, before wearing them.
Throughout the Day
- Remove Aligners for Eating and Drinking: Take them out before meals, snacks and drinks (other than water).
- Rinse Aligners: After removal, rinse with lukewarm water to reduce bacteria.
- Brush After Meals: Clean your teeth before putting your aligners back in to avoid trapping food particles that can lead to decay and bad breath.
Evening Routine
- Brush and Floss Again: Take extra care to clean around all surfaces of your teeth.
- Deep Clean Aligners: Soak them in warm water with a VITIS Effervescent Cleaning Tablet for 15 minutes to remove bacteria and odours.
- Rinse and Dry Aligners: Always rinse and dry before reinserting them.
